Thermal Imaging
Infrared (thermal imaging) is an advanced, non-invasive technology that allows the inspector to show homeowners things about their homes that can’t be revealed using conventional inspection methods. Examples include any active leaks that might be present around windows, wall, ceilings, ect. It will also show if there is insufficient insulation in the attics. This service is included in all of our home inspections.
Wind Mitigation
Make sure your getting the correct credit on your wind Mitigation report. Wrong credit can cost you thousands! Our Wind Mitigations may help lower your insurance costs. Call us today to find out more!
Air Quality Testing
Do you suspect an issue with the quality of the air in your home? Methods of testing indoor air quality can vary depending upon the substance of concern. The two most common types of indoor air quality concerns include mold and Volatile Organic Compounds. Our samples will always be sent to a Lab with results back to you within 24 hours.
4 Point Inspection
The 4 Point inspection is typically required when a home is 20 years or older. Some insurance companies will require this type of inspection as a check up to see the condition of the 4 main systems, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Roofing.
Sewer Scope
A sewer line is often one of the most costly things to repair in a home. Getting a sewer scope inspection can help you avoid investing in a home that has serious issues with the sewer/septic system. A sewer scope is a video inspection of the sewer line leading from the house at/near the foundation and connecting to the city or HOA tap or septic tank. Sewer-scoping the line can reveal blockages, damage to the pipe system, and other problems, which are vital for homeowners and home buyers to be aware of.
Roof Certification
Need a roof certification? We offer that! Often times insurance companies will require a special roof certification that goes more in depth. We can help you get the roof certified so the insurance company is happy!
Pool Inspections
If you are purchasing a home with a swimming pool, the safety and condition of the pool is just as important as the rest of the house. A pool is a great feature in a home, and often adds to the value of a home. But a pool that is not in good condition can be a money pit. It’s important to get the pool inspected before you purchase the home.
Termite Inspections
Termites can cause serious, lasting damage to your home. The best preventative measure is a termite inspection. We will inspect your interior and exterior, searching for tell-tale signs of termite activity and infestations, like mud tubes and shed wings. We will search high and low for evidence of both subterranean and dry wood termites. The time this takes will depend on your property size and how accessible your woodwork is. We reccomend having a termite inspection no matter the age of the home or building material.
Seawall Inspections
We will survey the seawall or near-water structure’s elevation, grading, soil properties, depth, materials, exposure to hydraulic pressure and levels, stability and condition. Often an underwater inspection by a professional diver will uncover hidden problems. We evaluate the condition of the seawall and provide an in-depth analysis of the overall viability and estimated life-span of the structure and will recommend required repairs. Inspections are followed with a detailed report, photographed and videotaped, so you can literally see what we see.
Moisture Detection
At KG Inspections, we stay up date on all the newest tools and technology. We use high-end moisture meters to detect any moisture that cannot be seen with the naked eye.
